Instructions for Authors
Authors are expected to prepare the camera-ready version of your paper or extended abstract, to be uploaded through the conference
web site, no later
JULY 3, 2004
Within the same date, we request that at least one of the authors of each
accepted paper/extended abstract registers to the conference, by means of the registration
form that shall be posted on the web site http://ecmlpkdd.isti.cnr.it/registration.html. Registration
is a prerequisite for having paper/extended abstract printed in the Proceedings.
Registrant authors will be registered at the early registration fee of 420
euro, which includes conference proceedings, 10 workshops, 7 tutorials,
CD-rom with workshop and tutorial proceeedings, and full social program
(welcome party, conference dinner, and possibly more ...).
Papers/Extended abstracts should be formatted according to the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence guidelines.

Final version of papers/extended abstract must be submitted at one of these URL:
depending on the instruction that authors received in the notification email using specified login and password.
You will need to submit both an archive file containing the source(s) and
a final file in PDF or PostScript format.
In the case that your paper was submitted to both ECML and PKDD conferences,
it will be allocated to the most appropriate of the two proceedings.
Furthermore, authors need to send a signed Springer copyright form (dowload PDF here) by fax to +39 050 313 8091 or +39 050 313 8092, attn. Fosca Giannotti - ECML/PKDD 2004.
Please note that there is a STRICT upper limit of 12 pages for full papers. Papers longer than 12 pages will not be included in the proceedings.
Posters will have:

- three pages in the Proceedings of ECML/PKDD 2004, as an extended abstract
of the submitted paper
- a specific session during the conference,
where the authors can exhibit a real posters on a stand, and discuss with
interested conference attendees.
