The following social events are included in the registration fee.

Welcome Party (Buffet)

Palazzo La Sapienza, Via Curtatone e Montanara, Pisa, Monday 20, 2004, h 21:00

After the opening session, a welcome party is served in the cloister of La Sapienza, partly sponsored by the Province of Pisa and the Municipality of Pisa.

Excursion to the historical town of Lucca

Thursday 23, 2004, h 16:30

After a short bus trip (half an hour on deluxe coach), participants will reach Lucca, a walled middle-age town superbly preserved. A guided tour of the town is sponsored by APT Lucca, the local tourism association.

Conference Banquet

Palazzo Ducale of Lucca, Thursday 23, 2004, h 20:30

The banquet will be served in the garden of Palazzo Ducale, right in the heart of the historical town, and will feature typical foods and wines from Lucca and Garfagnana. The banquet is partly supported by the Province of Lucca.
Additional social dinner tickets are available for accompanying persons. Ask the registration desk for availability and prices. The additional ticket includes transportation to Lucca with deluxe coach, guided tour of the town, and dinner at the Palazzo Ducale.

Other opportunities for social encounter are organized during the conference days. Ask registration desk for dates and prices. The events will take place if a minimum number of participants is reached.

Cooking Lesson

In association with one of the most famous chef in Pisa you can discover the secrets of the Italian cuisine. The cooking classes regard regional dishes from Tuscany using the seasonal high quality and fresh ingredients. If you want to enjoy and learn how to make some of the dishes of typical Tuscan menu you can join our cooking class.
